In order to help you make the most of your survey functionality, please read the following tips.
· Plan your survey before you even begin to record your first message. Use this PDF guide to help you plan your survey from the introduction to conclusion. By doing so, you will be prepared to record all of your messages and assemble your Survey Template quickly and easily.
· Test your survey before you send it to your recipient list. It's always a good idea to try out your survey on yourself before you send it to your recipients. Listen to make sure that everything if working like you expected. If you like what you hear, then send it to your list.
· Try to keep your survey brief. If your survey is too long, recipients will potentially lose interest and hang up before your completing the survey. If this happens, the response data will be skewed with less information available for the later questions. One way to mitigate this effect, regardless of the length of your survey, is to click the Randomize Question Order checkbox. This will mix up the questions so if a recipient hangs up early, it will not be on the same question, thus spreading out the lack of responses more evenly.
· Survey questions cannot hinge on previous answers. You can't ask a recipient a certain question based on their response to a previous question. For example, "What is your favorite color? Press 1 for red or 2 for blue." Recipient pressed 1. "I see you selected red. Which shade is your favorite?".
· Let participants know that pressing the star key will repeat the question. You should let participants know that pressing the star key will repeat the last question asked. You can mention it either in your introductory message or at the end of each question
