Additionally, features in this section of the help manual refer to integration
with another product.
Once a district has Presence Integration enabled, you can enable authorized users to post alert messages to Presence websites from Communicate. For example, if this is enabled for an Admin user profile, only users under an Admin profile will be able to access the Presence settings.
Follow the steps below to enable posting alerts to Presence websites for specific user profiles:
1. Click the Admin tab and then the Profiles sub-tab.
2. Click the Edit button to access a profile's settings.
3. Under Messaging Options, check the box to enable/disable posting to Presence.
4. Click Save to complete.
Users with a Presence-enabled profile will now have a field in their User settings to enter their Presence Secret Key.
The Presence Secret Key links Communicate to all the Presence websites the user has authorization to post to. The Presence Secret Key is generated by Presence Site Administrators. Please reach out to your school's Presence Site Administrator in order to know exactly what each individual secret key is for a user.
1. Obtain the unique Presence Secret Key from a Presence Site Administrator for the Presence website-authorized user.
2. Click the Admin tab and then the Users sub-tab.
3. Click the Edit button to the right of the authorized user.
4. Under Post Options, enter the User's Presence Secret Key in the field provided.
5. Click Save to complete.
Users authorized to post to a Presence website and have had their Presence Secret Key generated and entered by Admins will see their Presence Secret Key in their Account settings.
1. Click the Account menu item in the top right corner of the screen.
2. Scroll down to Post Options. The Presence Secret Key field is automatically filled in by the Presence Secret Key entered by the admin.
